Luxury automobile manufacturer Rolls-Royce Motor Cars Limited has announced the handover of 30 specially-commissioned Phantom cars to luxury entrepreneur Stephen Hung, Joint Chairman for The 13 Holdings Limited.
The British firm stated that the order represents the largest single commission in its history and followed the company supplying Hung with the first of his bespoke Phantoms at the 2016 Geneva International Motor Show in March.
Goodwood-based Rolls-Royce Motor Cars Limited declared that the expanded-wheelbase Phantoms, which come painted in “Stephen Red”, are destined for the soon-to-open The 13 hotel in Coloane, Macau where they are to be used to transport high-value guests.
“The livery applied to each of The 13’s Phantoms comprise a specially-formulated “Stephen Red” exterior paint developed to the exacting requirements of [Stephen] Hung complemented by a hand-painted gold twin coach line that culminates in a specially designed The 13 motif,” read a statement from Rolls-Royce Motor Cars Limited. “The bespoke 21-inch wheels are also finished in “Stephen Red”.”
Rolls-Royce Motor Cars Limited explained that two of the 30 Phantoms it has delivered for the property are gold and will be reserved for use by select VIP guests. It detailed that these cars feature a gold Spirit Of Ecstasy hood ornament alongside similarly-colored interior accents and Pantheon grille while their badges are encrusted with diamonds.
“Additionally, the “Stephen Red” paint that is used for the gold Phantoms is infused with fine particles of pure gold,” read the statement from Rolls-Royce Motor Cars Limited. “The stunning exterior theme of the fleet is elegantly echoed in an exquisitely crafted interior. A specially-developed wood staining technique evokes the “Stephen Red” color scheme while a chequered pattern integrated to the rear seats echos the marble entrance hall motif of The 13. The clock was designed in collaboration with master jeweller Graff.”
This article has been updated to remove the word “casino” as, to the best of our knowledge, The 13 has not applied for a casino license.
